I really like this boat. Not just for her massive size and strength to reach afar, a 62 foot Bruce Farr design always works and translates to really fast sailing; offshore, 200 plus mile days are just a walk in the park. The sleekness of her hull form, above and below the waterline, all makes total sense. This boat looks beautiful, feels beautiful, and smells beautiful. This is the real thing. The Bruce Farr/Pininfarina designed Beneteau 62 offers the owners a beautifully designed shallow draft bulb/wing keel, with a powerful tall three spreader cutter rig. This translates to extreme comfortable and fast world voyaging. The interior consists of a fully air conditioned and heated four stateroom, four bath layout. There is a huge well ventilated bright and airy forward owner's cabin with their own ship's office and full ensuite bathroom with shower. There are also crew's quarters with upper/lower berths amidship with their own head and shower. Aft there are two double staterooms, each with the same ensuite head/shower. The galley is a huge room to port with all of the space required for full size appliances needed to prepare a wonderful meal. The entire interior is all finished in Finnish birch with a teak cabin sole. Soft lighting adds to her softness of glow and interior beauty. To ensure comfort, there are five independent reverse cycle air conditioning and heating systems throughout, with giant generator and massive water maker, condition unknown.

The deck layout is at once simple, elegant, and also serious and efficient: the two separate cockpits allow guests to relax in comfort without impeding maneuvers. The foredeck is huge. The electric systems include electric winches and a electric furling genoa, the staysail is on a manual furler controlled by an electric winch, there is also a hydraulic adjustment of the rig tension. Any maneuver becomes child's play with the bow thruster and huge Max Prop. There's even a hydraulic garage on her stern where the second dingy, dive gear and water toys live. Boarding the dingy or climbing out of the water becomes a breeze. Of course there's a fresh water shower too.

Accommodations The interior designer and stylist, Pininfarina certainly pulled out all the stops on hull no 5 of the 10 CNB Beneteau Custom Yachts built in 1995.

Esprit Du Nord is a rare yacht indeed, with four separate staterooms, each with their own private head and shower, with five separately controlled air conditioners. Three of the staterooms have large "queen" sized double berths and the fourth has upper and lower berths for crew’s quarters. The salon is an elegant dining and entertainment center with a large dining arrangement to port and lounge chairs to starboard. The galley is massive and well organized in order to prepare all that food! The traditional, restrained yet modern interior is beautiful with perfect joinery in teak. The feeling below is what you expect in a yacht of the highest quality with gorgeous woodwork and every detail attended to gracefully. Above decks, the vessel incorporates all of the features and amenities of a world class blue water voyaging yacht. With two separate cockpits include a large center cockpit for the passengers comfort with a grand companionway "stairway" to the salon. The aft dual helm station is the business end where every control line is led and easily managed by a small crew. The aft companionway leads directly to the crew’s quarters. The sleek reverse transom incorporates a hydraulic platform that opens for easy boarding, showing, and a great place to "play" with all the water toys the boat can easily carry and of course there's a fresh water hot and cold shower at the transom too. The dingy stows inside the transom garage.
